Angotti is known for his tremendous contribution in bridging contemporary liturgical music with music that inspires and evangelizes beyond the Sunday celebration of Mass. World Library Publications (www.wlpmusic.com), the music and liturgy division of the J.S. Paluch Company, is proud to publish John’s music and provide it to the Church in accessible formats such as hymnals, songbooks, recordings, and digital downloads.

John Angotti, a full-time music missionary traveling throughout the world, will have an upcoming tour through Australia for World Youth Day in July of this year. He currently has confirmed concert events in Canberra and Sydney.  Other cities and venues are being added.  Of this performance for Pope Benedict in D.C., he comments, “To be asked to sing at this event with Pope Benedict is the greatest musical event of my life.  I am humbled to just be there to celebrate the Risen Christ in word and deed, song and sacrament.”

Angotti has won numerous awards including, “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Pop/Contemporary,” and “Praise and Worship Album of the Year” from the United Catholic Music and Video Association. His powerful voice and writing style includes contemporary rock, pop, and Latin rhythms, along with his ability to give new life to traditional classics in chant and classical genres.  In Nationals Park he will be performing “Stand in the Light,” chosen as the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress theme song in 2007. (Also the title of one of his most recent recordings.)  He has just put out a new collection titled, “Joy Beyond Our Dreams” which features uplifting new music for the Easter Season.
